Gauri Gadgil has given a splendid performance while playing herself and telling her own story on screen, her first experience ever.Īn established cinematographer, Mahesh Limaye has captured excellent shots especially Gauri’s swimming practice with her trainer Prataprao Sardeshmukh (Upendra Limaye) impressively. She has portrayed tension, disappointment, angst, all emotions with equal ease. Mrinal Kulkarni has done a brilliant job. Perfect dialogues in every frame makes the struggle of the mother and daughter duo very touching. Shridhar, a bachelor and a believer in God, helps Mugdha and Gauri in their struggle. It’s after Gauri falls into a pond and Shekhar doesn’t save his drowning daughter, Mugdha decides to separate from her husband and goes to her brother Shridhar in Pune. The problems coupled with the conflict of the parents of a child with special needs is shown effectively in the film. On the other hand, Gauri’s father Shekhar Gadgil (Manoj Joshi) is ashamed of his daughter’s ailment. Worried about her future, her mother Mugdha (Mrinal Kulkarni) tries to find ways to combat the problem.
The film revolves around Gauri, who is suffering from Down Syndrome. The message one takes is “You can do it”.
